Mothers Celebrate The First National Mom's Nite Out May 7th

Attention all you sassy mommies out there – this is your chance to get out of the house and sip on your Mamatinis! On Thursday, May 7th, the first National Mom's Nite Out will be uniting hard-working mamas with special events across the country for a fun and relaxing night off.

Founding organizer Maria Bailey (host of Mom Talk Radio) spearheaded the holiday, saying, "Most moms spend Mother's Day taking care of the other mothers in their lives so we hope to give moms a well deserved night off right before Mother's Day."

Here are some mommy events happening that night:

New York, New York
Role Mommy will celebrate with laugh out loud readings and performances at New York City's Comic Strip Live. This will feature talented authors, bloggers and television producers from the tri-state area. A portion of proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Gal to Gal Foundation.

Los Angeles, California
Internet mommies Kimberley Clayton Blaine and Romi Lassally will be hosing a fundraiser for the Children's Institute, a non-profit organization that provides healing for babies and toddlers who've been affected by violence. The whole shebang kicks off at 5 pm at The Mint. Goody bags for the first 25 moms!

Nationwide
Children's Orchard is sponsoring a mom event: mothers will get to enjoy refreshments, prize drawings, special offers and activities. Hours and events will vary by location - call your nearest store for more info.

Houston, Texas
Village Girls Boutique is hosting a shopping night. Trendy moms can browse the latest styles while sipping on champagne and meeting other local Mommies. There will be door prizes, desserts, and swag-bags all evening! The first 25 people to RSVP receive a gift!

Nationwide
Pump It Up will host parties at their stores. This will be a fun night for just dad and the kids (caregivers too) so that mom can enjoy her night off. Pizza and drinks will be offered so mom doesn't have to worry about feeding the family!

Seriously stuck at home? Then join the online mommy communities such as momlogic.com and themotherhood.com, as they will be hosting virtual parties.
