The Food: Named Restaurant of the Year in 2009 by "Charleston Post and Courier", the New American cuisine truly stands up to the challenge. A prix fixe menu will be served Valentine's weekend, offering three courses for $49 per person but an a la carte menu will also be available.

The Romance: While a night at this luxury hotel might be a bit too expensive for most, the restaurant alone offers a romantic atmosphere. The zen quality of the restaurant is relaxing and allows you to escape the everyday with your special someone even if it's just for dinner. Cozy up to one another in a candlelit corner and enjoy your special night together.
The Food: From your seat in the restaurant, you should be able to smell the delicious aromas of your food even before they arrive. The Asian-inspired cuisine includes small plates as well as entrees, noodles and curries.
J. Broussard's in Columbus, Miss.
The Romance: This local fave is located in a historic landmark building with deep red walls, high ceilings and the original wood floors. While the decor is simple and elegant, there's also the hint of that Creole flavor that's made this restaurant successful for years. The warmth of the staff and of the rooms themselves will really make you feel at home with your date.
The Food: J. Broussard's has received praise time and time again for their amazing New Orleans-style cuisine. Try the catfish amandine or the shrimp courtboullion to really get the Creale flavor.
La Provence in Lacombe, La.
The Romance: This recently renovated eatery transports guests overseas for a taste of the French countryside. The warm and welcoming interior includes comfortable seating in the dining room which offers a view of the cozy salon and a beautiful piano. After dinner, cuddle up near the hearth in the salon to get warm before taking a peek at the surrounding farmland.
The Food: Dedicated to rustic French cuisine and locally-sourced foods, the menu offers a delicious selection of seafood, beef and even duckling.

I also miss 234 South in Florence. That place closed down for whatever reason, but it was a great restaurant--- and very romantic. (Especially to me; that's where I got proposed to.)
